Do you want to learn exactly how to buy Modafinil in South Korea? If so, you’re in the perfect place.

As a digital nomad, I’ve lived and worked in many South East Asian countries including Hong Kong, China, Singapore and, of course, South Korea.

I’m uniquely positioned to explain everything you need to know about finding and buying Modafinil, the world’s most popular smart drug, while visiting or living in South Korea.

My goal is to help you get your hands on the highest-quality Modafinil without an issue. I can point you towards the best online pharmacies that sell legit nootropics and help you avoid the ones that will scam you or fail to deliver.

Having been based in South Korea for months, I’ve noticed a definite rise in interest surrounding Modafinil among expats and other digital nomads like myself.

I decided to put together this helpful guide to help anyone find and buy the best Modafinil during their time here.

In this comprehensive guide, I’ll discuss things like:

I made this guide fairly long and detailed so that I cover everything. If there’s some particular info you need, feel free to click on any of the above links to skip ahead.

Or just keep on reading this comprehensive post.

Everything you need to know is below.

As always, I must ask you to read my short disclaimer before we begin:

I am not a doctor or a lawyer. This is not legal or medical advice. This guide/article is strictly for entertainment. Always consult a medical professional before consuming any nootropic, like Modafinil. Always abide by the laws of your country. Oh, and please read my disclaimer page, too.

What is Modafinil?

Before I get into exactly how to buy Modafinil in South Korea, I thought it might be helpful to briefly discuss what it is and why so many people swear by it.

Modafinil has gained a worldwide reputation for being the premier cognitive enhancer on the market. It’s hands down the best smart drug on the market today.

Modafinil is a type of medicine known as a ‘eugeroic’ or ‘wakefulness promoting agent’. It was developed in France during the 1970s by the French neuroscientist and researcher, Michel Jouvet, to help narcolepsy sufferers.

Following successful medical trials, Modafinil was introduced to the French market under the brand name ‘Modiodalunder’ in 1994. In 1998, it received U.S. FDA approval and was introduced to the U.S. market under the brand name ‘Provigil’.

Modafinil is effective in treating (Source):

  • Narcolepsy
  • Shift work sleep disorder
  • Sleep apnea

However, healthy individuals soon began experimenting with Provigil and it quickly developed a reputation for its off-label uses.

During the early 2000s, Provigil became the drug of choice for hopped up CEOs and Silicon Valley executives. Just one 200mg tablet could help a busy C-suite executive pull an all-nighter with ease and gain a competitive advantage over their competition.

Thousands of stressed-out students flocked to Provigil and it soon became the leading study drug in North America.

Soon, people around the world wanted to get their hands on some.

Unlike some other nootropics, Modafinil’s benefits are backed up by a wealth of evidence in peer-reviewed medical journals. These benefits include:

  • Improved memory retention.
  • Enhanced cognitive function.
  • 12+ hours of intense focus (great for pulling all-nighters!)
  • Inability to feel fatigue.
  • Increased decision-making ability.

Such is Modafinil’s effectiveness that it is widely believed to be the real-life drug that inspired the scriptwriters of the blockbuster movie, Limitless.

When you take Modafinil, you feel as if you can accomplish anything.

So, if you’re curious about buying Modafinil in South Korea, there’s a very good reason…

Nothing else comes close.

Is Modafinil Legal in South Korea?

Now, I’m no lawyer. Nor am I a legal scholar.

So, this section about the legalities of Modafinil in South Korea should not be construed as anything but hyperbole. This is NOT advice.

In South Korea, the top governmental body responsible for overseeing pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution is the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS). All pharmaceuticals are regulated under South Korea’s Pharmaceutical Affairs Act.

This Act classifies all products into drug products and pharmaceutical ingredients.

So, if you want to know whether Modafinil is legal in South Korea, contacting the MFDS is the best place to start.

According to the MFDS, you need a prescription from a South Korean doctor to legally purchase Provigil or any generic medicine containing Modafinil’s active ingredient.

In theory, doctors should only prescribe Modafinil if you have been properly diagnosed with a medical condition such as sleep apnea or ADHD.

In practice, having lived and worked in South Korea for almost six months, I can tell you that you can pretty much go to any doctor and get them to prescribe you what you want, regardless of whether you have a genuine medical condition.

Plus, in Korea, almost every doctor speaks at least a little English. Most English-speaking doctors charge around US$50 for a consultation, but you can pay less if you use a doctor who doesn’t speak English.

You can use Google translate or ask a Korean friend to help you write down what you need. Another option is to ask a Korean friend or coworker to help get the prescription for you.

You can then take your script to a nearby hospital dispensary or pharmacy and buy the Modafinil you need. Expect to pay around 20,000 KRW (South Korean Won) for ten pills of generic Modafinil, which is around US$18 at current exchange rates.

Outside of major cities, things are a little hit and miss. Not all doctors are willing to prescribe Modafinil, and you’ll still have to pay the $50 consultation fee.

My Point?

That’s why I always buy Modafinil online and have it shipped to my place in South Korea.

According to the MFDS, this is perfectly fine provided that you buy:

  • Less than 3 month’s supply
  • For your personal use only

I’ve never had a problem getting Modafinil shipped to me. South Korea isn’t on the ‘no-ship’ list of any of my favorite Modafinil suppliers and I’ve yet to hear about anyone having legitimate legal issues buying it online.

While South Korea is renowned for its strict anti-drug policies, Modafinil isn’t a narcotic and won’t get you thrown in jail.

I’d surmise that the worst that could happen would be for your package to be seized by customs. In this case, the online pharmacy you bought the Modafinil from will give you a free reshipment or a full refund – it’s your call.

But I’ve honestly never heard of this happening!

The online Modafinil sellers that I recommend below actually guarantee their shipments to South Korea.

In summary, there’s little to no risk.

Buy Modafinil in South Korea | 2019 Online Buyers’ Guide

Now we’re getting to the good stuff…

Where to buy Modafinil online in South Korea.

While buying Modafinil in-person in Seoul is more than viable, it’s also a pain in the arse and tends to be more expensive than buying smart drugs online while living in the country.

Especially if you don’t speak conversational Korean.

Thus, going online is a solid choice for many new expats and digital nomads in the country.

With that in mind, here’s my favorite Modafinil vendors for those living in Korean – both locals and expats:

  • Afinil Express

The premier Modafinil vendor in South Korea is Afinil Express as of writing.

These guys do an absolutely fantastic job shipping smart drugs to Seoul and beyond. They offer things like:

  • Guaranteed Delivery: You’ll either get your Modafinil delivery in South Korea or you get your money back – or another shipment. Aka you have no risk. The orders from Afinil Express pass customs with ease in South Kore.
  • Solid Pricing: Afinil Express offers low pricing. It’s not the lowest we’ve found, but it’s far cheaper than buying from a pharmacy in Seoul after a doctor appointment.
  • Incredible Customer Service: While their pricing isn’t the cheapest, they offer the best customer service in the industry. Afinil Express is a professional company and online pharmacy.
  • Fast and Free Express Shipping: You’ll get your order from these guys within 6-12 days of ordering in Korea. That’s fast shipping! Free Express shipping is also included with every order.
  • Legit Smart Drugs: Modafinil from Afinil Express is legit product. You will get real generic Modafinil from these guys. I prefer the Modalert and Waklert.
  • Great Discounts: You can save 20% on your order with Afinil Express by paying with Bitcoin. This makes buying Modafinil in South Korea even cheaper!

If you’re looking to buy Modafinil online in Korea, then I’d start here. These guys just do a great job overall.

  • Buy Moda

Another fantastic Modafinil vendor when living in South Korea is Buy Moda.

These guys are new to the scene but do a damn good job of getting Modafinil into South Korea – and I’ve had great success with my orders from them.

Buy Moda offers guaranteed delivery. You will get your order or you’ll get all your money back. No risk here!

Their shipping is free and fast as can be. Most orders arrive in Seoul within 6-12 days after you order online.

That’s fast.

You’ll also find legit Modafinil products from these guys and a smooth overall buying process. They offer 25% off when buying with Bitcoin – plus 10 extra pill!

  • Modafinil Star

I’m actually a huge fan of Modafinil Star, especially while living in South Korea.

Some claim they don’t do a great job, but I’ve been ordering Modafinil from these guys for year and I’ve always had a great experience.

Orders arrive quickly. The products are always legit. Easy to work with customer service.

However, that’s not the reason I’d recommend them…

The reason I love Modafinil Star is their pricing.

This is the absolutely cheapest place to buy Modafinil online in South Korea. You won’t find better deals from any vendor on the Internet.

Not only that, Modafinil Star offers a 20% + 25% extra pills when buying with Bitcoin. This is an insane deal!

They offer guaranteed delivery too.

Adrafinil in South Korea, Prescription-Free Modafinil Alternative

While I’m certain that you won’t have any issues getting Modafinil shipped to you during your stay in South Korea, I recognize that some people won’t want to do something that isn’t 100% legal.

I understand that.

That’s why I recommend Adrafinil.

Adrafinil is a 100% legal Modafinil alternative that can be bought over-the-counter (OTC) from any drug store or pharmacy.

Because Adrafinil doesn’t contain the active ingredient found in Modafinil.

When you ingest it, your body converts Adrafinil into the same substance as Modafinil.

This means that Adrafinil isn’t as strong as Modafinil and takes a little longer to kick in. Due to the way that it’s processed, Adrafinil can place a little extra strain on your liver but this shouldn’t be anything to worry about.

Overall, Modafinil is the best thing out there and is the undisputed king of smart drugs.

But Adrafinil is a great option if you’re worried about buying Modafinil.

If this is something you’d like to try, you can…

Buy Adrafinil from my favorite vendor here.
