Update #1: The Two Articles Per Day Challenge

Producing a lot of solid content isn’t easy, especially on a consistent basis. Ask any blogger.

You crush it one day. You write 2,000 or 4,000 words. Then struggle to pump out 300 over the course of the next week.

Life is an ebb and flow. Writer’s block is real. Humans are not machines. And writing is more art than science.

The Two Articles Per Day Challenge

I knew this going in. I knew producing two pieces of solid content every single day would be a grind. Writing two 1,200 word blog posts alone isn’t too difficult.

When you factor in formatting, posting, social media, other obligations, freelancing work, and more – the time really starts to add up.

Pumping out 2,500 words in the morning – not hard. Posting everything and then getting all my other responsibilities taken care of – quite difficult.

That’s fine. I’ve reframed the problem as a challenge. I’ve accepted I’ll be spending a lot of hours behind the screen over the coming months.

Live and learn. I plan to do a lot of learning over the next few months. Refining my ability to sell and copywriting skills are at the top of the list.

Week One Results

Well, a little over a week. This is day ten of the challenge. And this piece makes article 19. Thus, I’m one article away from staying on pace. And I have three pieces scheduled for tomorrow. So I’ll be back on track soon.

And the site has slowly started to grow. Before I started the challenge, Nomadic Hustle was stagnant. I was battling inner demons stemming from my surgery.

The challenge revitalized me. I found my energy and drive, again. Well, I stopped taking finasteride, too. If you’re a man losing a little hair, don’t take finasteride! It’s not worth it.

P.S.: If you’re a man losing a little hair, don’t take finasteride! It’s not worth it.

Back to the results. Now that I’m on a consistent posting schedule, views are soaring and traffic is trickling in. Before the challenge, the site’s best day was 24 unique visitors. Now, I’m consistently getting over 100 visitors a day. My best day saw over 200 people visit Nomadic Hustle.

Now, I know this is not a lot of traffic. Trust me! Some of my past sites had days with over 3,000 unique visitors. But Nomadic Hustle is brand new. It’s going to take time to grow. And that’s fine. I’m in this for the long term. Blogging isn’t the business to get into for fast cash.

Just Getting Started

The two articles per day challenge is just starting. I’m not even 20 pieces into a 700+ article challenge. It’s going to be a long road ahead, but I’m ready for it. If you have any article ideas, tips, tricks, or suggestions – sound off in the comments.
