Laxogenin Review: Best Natural Anabolic Supplement or Scam Product?

I never planned to write a Laxogenin review.

It just wasn’t in the cards. The reality of the situation is most over-the-counter supplements you buy are total junk and bunk. Like flushing money down the toilet.

How do I know?

I’ve taken dozens of supplements over the years. Way too many. Trust me. Family members and friends believe I have a legit Amazon addiction and they’re not too far off.

But Laxogenin was different.

I knew I had to write this review for one reason. Because Laxogenin works. The natural, yet anabolic supplement really works.

You will feel and see the benefits of Laxogenin within 3-4 weeks after starting the supplement. It’s truly one of the best anabolic supplements if you’re looking for something over-the-counter.

If you’re looking to:

  • Increase lean muscle mass
  • Improve joint pain in days, not months
  • Heal minor injuries in weeks, not months
  • Increase protein synthesis
  • Lower cortisol

Well, you’re in the right place. Laxogenin offers all these benefits and so much more. In fact, my pain from minor injuries goes from debilitating to nearly non-existent within one week taking Laxogenin. No hype.

Enough with the ado, let’s dive in and take a look at Laxogenin, what it is, and why it’s become a popular supplement in certain circles.

P.S: Here’s the Laxogenin product I take. My shoulder issues and knee pain, after microfracture surgery, are damn near gone. Highly recommended!

What is 5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin?

Well, that’s a little tough to answer. Laxogenin isn’t as well known and studied as other supplements. But I’ll do my best to break things down for, y’all.

Laxogenin, or 5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin, is basically a Brassinosteroid. And these Brassinosteroids are plant-based compounds known for their growth-promoting potential (Source).

Essentially, Laxogenin is a plant-based “steroid” that one can purchase over-the-counter.

The idea is that these compounds promote anabolic activity in plants and in vitro (Source). As such, they may promote similar benefits in humans.

The problems? No such studies have been concluded to show whether the said hypothesis is accurate or not.

Some have suggested that Laxogenin has been studied in the old Soviet Union since the 1960s, but we don’t have access to those studies. Thus, there’s just not much 5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin research to go off.

The only evidence we have to go on is personal anecdotes, like my joint pain reduction and increased wound healing.

It should be noted that Laxogenin can be taken orally or transdermally, aka through the skin.

TL:DR – Laxogenin is a plant-based “steroid” used to inhibit cortisol, increase lean muscle mass, and promote wound healing. The combination of these effects can reduce joint pain. However, human studies are lacking.

My Laxogenin Review: Noticeable Benefits?

I wouldn’t be writing this Laxogenin review if I hadn’t noticed benefits from taking the over-the-counter anabolic supplement. Just wouldn’t have wasted my time or yours.

This product works. 5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin offers benefits for athletes, especially weightlifters and competitors looking to reduce joint pain after minor injuries.

I began taking Laxogenin to try and keep a bit of muscle mass on while rehabbing a minor shoulder/armpit injury.

Before I began taking Laxogenin, I could not do a single pull-up without significant pain and potentially worsening the injury.

After six weeks using Laxogenin daily, I was able to do three sets of pull-ups for eight reps. Solid improvement.

However, I did not attribute the recovery to Laxogenin. I thought it was mostly my rehab program and time.

I went off Laxogenin for two weeks. Before I knew it, I was back in pain. I could still do 3-5 pull-ups, but I was consistently feeling the pain, again.

Frustrated, I ordered another two-month cycle of Laxogenin. Within the first week, joint pain was gone throughout my body. I was back repping pull-ups, again.

Not only that, my knees felt amazing!

After having microfracture knee surgery, I understand that knee pain will always be an issue for me. However, when taking Laxogenin, my knee(s) have felt amazing. I even got back under the squat rack for the first time in years.

Laxogenin also helped me keep on lean muscle mass while rehabbing. It can be easy to lose size when you get a minor injury. With Laxogenin, you’ll be able to keep mass on without lifting heavy weights.

I barely lost any upper-body mass when using Laxogenin, even though I was only doing rehabilitation work for my upper-body and some bodyweight exercises.

Just look at my results while rehabbing:

Benefits of Laxogenin

While human studies of 5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin are lacking, many have reported great benefit when taking the supplement. I know I did.

While I can’t claim the plant steroid to be the best anabolic supplement, there’s no doubt many users see vast benefits. Most find:

Joint Pain Relief

This is huge. Personally, it’s the main reason I found Laxogenin and decided to test the plant steroid out.

I’m glad I did, as 5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin offers massive joint pain relief. If you’ve had surgery before or have been dealing with nagging injuries that just won’t go away, Laxogenin will help.

I’ve yet to find an over-the-counter product that offers more benefits for your joints. Not even hyping here, this anabolic supplement just works. I wouldn’t be writing this article if it wasn’t for the joint pain relief I found from Laxogeinin.

But don’t just take my word for it. Check out this study.

Heal Minor Injuries Quickly

Originally, many found Laxogenin to be beneficial for wound healing. While we don’t have the studies, I’d surmise that’s what Soviet researchers were studying the supplement for.

If you’re dealing with minor injuries, like ankle sprains or patellar tendonitis, you may find the compound offers huge relief.

While rehabbing my should/armpit, I’ve found Laxogenin greatly reduces my pain levels and helps heal the injury faster than anything else I’ve tried.

While taking this supplement, I can do more reps, build more muscle, and have far less pain than when I’m not using it. Point. Blank. Period.

Increased Lean Muscle Mass

Now, I believe there are better supplements if putting on muscle mass is your only goal. This is especially true if you’re already “enhanced” – so to speak.

For natural athletes, you will find minor strength increases and you’ll hold on to lean muscle mass better through the rehab process.

I found it easy to maintain muscle mass and even make gains while barely training my shoulder/armpit during the rehab process, which was ideal.

If you’re training actively while on this anabolic supplement, you will notice increased gains. However, these won’t be anything like being on a cycle of Anavar.

Laxogenin is a plant-based steroid, but “steroid” may not be the proper way to describe it. You simply won’t see muscle building results from this product like you would from Anavar, pro-hormones, or testosterone.

Lower Cortisol

I haven’t done any blood work. So, I cannot honestly state whether my cortisol levels have gone down or not. I have no idea if they did or not.

However, many have claimed that Laxogenin lowers cortisol throughout the body, which makes it easier to put on muscle mass and burn fat. Seeing my results from taking this compound, I’m inclined to believe this might be true.

While I’ve yet to find a study to back this claim, there’s a decent chance the supplement offers cortisol lowering benefits – which is ideal for packing on slabs of lean muscle mass.

Laxogenin Side Effects and Cons

I haven’t noticed many 5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin side effects, but that doesn’t mean they’re non-existent. With products where human testing is minimal, it can be difficult to notice side effects on a micro level.

Still, here’s a few downsides or Laxogenin side effects:

  • No Human Studies: I’ve been unable to locate human studies on Laxogenin. They simply have not been conducted or are not in the English language. As such, we have no reliable literature to go on when talking about the benefits and side effects of this compound.
  • Powerful Supplement with Anabolic Properties: For a product that you can buy on Amazon, this is one powerful supplement. It’s rare that you can buy such a powerful product from the world’s largest retailer. The downside? If you’re new to the wide world of supplements, this may be too strong for you. Laxogenin works and does offer various anabolic benefits. This isn’t just some caffeine-laden pre-workout.
  • Minor Hair Loss: If you’re prone to male pattern baldness, Laxogenin might offer a MINOR increase in hair loss. Personally, I didn’t notice much change in my hairline while taking the supplement for over two months. But it’s silly to think an anabolic compound, that helps put on muscle mass, won’t have any effect on your hairline. It could, but I doubt Laxogenin changes much from a hair loss perspective.

Best Laxogenin Supplements

While I’ve only tried one Laxogenin supplement, there are a few solid products on the market these days. Here are the three best Laxogenin supplements I’ve found:

#1. MASSACR3 Muscle Builder and Laxogenin Supplement by Olympus Labs

  • Price: $$
  • Type: Oral
  • Quality: High-quality
  • Servings: 30 servings, aka one month cycle

This is the Laxogenin supplement I’ve been taking. It’s damn good. If you’re looking to take an oral product, this is where I’d recommend starting. Trust me. This stuff just works, especially for joint pain.

I’ve had incredible results with MASSACR3 Muscle Builder and Laxogenin Supplement by Olympus Labs. I’m confident you will, too.

Is this the best Laxogenin supplement? As of writing, I believe so. This is especially true for individuals looking to supplement Laxogenin orally Highly recommended!

#2. DERMASTRENGTH UNLEASHED PhytoFUSE Transdermal Laxogenin by Olympus Labs

  • Price: $$$
  • Type: Transdermal
  • Quality: High-quality
  • Servings: 60 servings, aka 1-2 month cycle

If you’re in the market for a transdermal Laxogenin supplement, then DERMASTRENGTH UNLEASHED PhytoFUSE Transdermal Laxogenin by Olympus Labs is probably the best thing available.

This product has been proven to offer significant joint pain relief and wound healing due to the local application. Many users have reported increased energy and solid strength gains when taking this product.

While I haven’t tried transdermal Laxogenin, this would be the first product I would look at if I decided to because it’s from the same brand as the oral capsules I take. Recommended!

#3. Progenin, 5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin by Chizled Labs

  • Price: $
  • Type: Oral
  • Quality: Medium quality
  • Servings: 90, aka a three-month cycle

This is one of the most popular Laxogenin supplements on Amazon. The reviews are decent and many swear by Progenin, 5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin by Chizled Labs. I’m inclined to believe it’s a solid product, although I’ve never tried it.

Overall, I would recommend the products from Olympus Labs over this supplement – unless your budget is exceptionally tight.

5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin Dosage

Since human studies haven’t been conducted, it’s hard to confirm the ideal Laxogenin dosage. There’s really no standard practice here.

What I would say is to follow recommended dosing protocols on any product you use. If you’re taking MASSCR3 from Olympus Labs, then you’d take two capsules daily for 300 mg of Laxogenin.

Overall, the best Laxogenin dosages can be found between 100-300 mg a day. You can cycle Laxogenin up to 3-4 months straight.

However, I’d recommend taking one week off from this supplement every month or so. I haven’t experienced any tolerance with Laxogenin, but I’d surmise it’s possible if you take these products for 3-4 months straight.

Laxogenin Review: Best Anabolic Supplement or Scam Product?

Overall, I believe this is one of the better anabolic compounds available over-the-counter. That’s why I wrote this Laxogenin review.

I know Laxogenin works pretty damn well.

If you’re looking to put on lean muscle mass, reduce joint pain, speed up wound healing, and work with a safe anabolic compound that’s available over-the-counter – then Laxogenin is probably the best product on the market.

It’s been a miracle supplement for me and I’ve read countless reviews from others who’ve found similar results.
